Jay E. House papers, 1908-1936.

Correspondence and miscellaneous papers. The correspondence consists largely of letters congratulating Jay E. House on his election as mayor of Topeka, Kan., in 1915 and 1917 and upon the 25th anniversary of his column On second thought. A few letters refer to political matters, and all of the rest comment favorably on his column. The misc. papers contain an article by House, a play, and his commission as mayor in 1917.
